MAI CHAU VALEY INTRODUCTION
Only three hours by car from Hanoi, Mai Chau is a completely different world of pure air, untouched nature and fascinating tribal culture. Mai Chau Ecolodge is located right at the heart of Mai Chau valley within walking distance to Lac and Pom Coong villages.
Sitting atop a private hill in Na Phon village, Mai Chau Ecolodge is the most secluded haven in Mai Chau with a stunning backdrop of lush rice paddies and emerald mountains embraced by clouds. Inspired by nature, we constructed the lodge to be a refuge of charm and serenity, providing guest a chance to forget about the worries of daily life and to enjoy the best Mai Chau has to offer.
The Mai Chau Ecolodge was built entirely from natural materials with thatched roofs, bamboo interiors, wooden furniture and outdoor jungle showers. Every bungalow was meticulously designed to embody the local stilt house style and traditional Thai ethnic culture. The absence of television and other entertainment facilities keep our lodges true to what it stands for – a place to get back to nature.

Day 1: Discover Mai Chau landscape and Thai ethnic culture (L, D)
08:00 am: Depart from Hanoi to Mai Chau – an idyllic valley home to many hill tribes including the Dzao, Muong and Thai.
12: 30: Arrive in Mai Chau around noon, check in your room and enjoy lunch.
14: 30 pm: In the afternoon, cycle to explore Mai Chau beautiful ethnic villages including Na Thia, Nhot, Pom Coong, Lac and Chieng Chau villages. Be welcomed by the friendly local people, talk with them and discover their traditional culture. Total cycling time is around 2 – 3 hours on flat village paths. Take it all in: the spectacular scenery of Mai Chau and the relaxed rhythm of local life.
17:00 – 17:30 pm: Back to Mai Chau Ecolodge for dinner. For evening enjoyment, you may choose to take part in a traditional dance show with Ruou Can (a local wine), a cooking class, a weaving class or all. Overnight at Mai Chau Ecolodge.
Day 2: Relax at Mai Chau Ecolodge (B, L)
After breakfast, 08:30 am: spend full morning to explore authentic beautiful villages as: Na tang, Cha Long on foot. On the way back to Mai Chau Lodge you will walk through a bamboo-lined path.
11:00 am: Back to hotel, check out and have lunch.
13:30 pm: Transfer back to Hanoi.
17:00 – 17:30: Arrive to Hanoi. End of service.
